How Did NASA Prove Einstein's Theory of Relativity

NASA recently released the results of Gravity Probe B, a massive space-time experiment they have been conducting. NASA researchers have announced the results of their 7 year experiment Gravity Probe B (GP-B). It seems that once again  Einstein  was correct, and there is indeed a space-time distortion around the earth as he predicted. According to Einstein’s  theory of relativity , time and space are actually integrated with each other to form a four-dimensional fabric we call space-time. Objects with large mass such as Earth create  depression s in the fabric, similar to placing a heavy object in the middle of a trampoline. Einstein stated that gravity is the motion of objects following the curved lines of that depression. It doesn’t end there, however. NASA scientists hypothesized that because of Earth’s rotation, that depression would be pulled into a four-dimensional swirl. In 2006 they launched GP-B to test this theory. The experiment required the creation of four nearly perfectly

Maruti Suzuki 800 is back in market with name of "MS 800 Spied"

As per recent market speculations, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki is developing a brand new version of its iconic small car Maruti 800 for the Indian market. The spy shots of this model were recently revealed by AutocarIndia. Looking at these spy-shots, the new Maruti 800 seems to be carrying a bigger space inside and a number of cosmetic changes at exterior and interior front. It is to be mentioned here that after ruling the small car segment in the country for more than two decades, the Maruti 800 was discontinued in 13 major cities of the country in April 2010. The reason behind this was that the car was not compatible with the new BS-IV emission norms that were implemented by the government in these 13 cities. However, the new Maruti 800 will definitely be compatible with new BS-IV emission norms. Moreover, the car is expected to come blessed with a higher fuel economy and refined performance. The new Maruti 800 is speculated to be priced in the segment of sub Rs 2,

If I’m half Indian, so is Rahul Gandhi - Katrina Kaif Says

I always grew up feeling inferior, to use one word. So if you ask me what is the karmic connect, I honestly feel that this is the end of a circle of that. I always grew up feeling that I was not attractive, that I was never getting any attention, and that I was a little different. And when I came here is when I for the first time… I had that sense of – I remember that so vividly – that people here actually appreciate me. They think that I am beautiful, that I am something special. And that was the first time in my life that I did not feel inferior, for the first time in my life I felt very wanted. There was this side of me that I felt uncomfortable with, growing up, my whole life, and that side is what has now given me my life, what I am now. It was in India that I found my identity, my sense of belonging. And that’s why you’ve been touchy sometimes about people making snide remarks about your passport, ethnicity, surname? Yes. Because people are insinuating that there is something w

The 3 Mistakes Of My Life - Book review

What strikes you first about Chetan Bhagat’s novels is the fact that this author writes about Indians and for Indians. His characters are young, ambitious and passionate and have the same moral, social and religious dilemmas as many of the young Indians today. At the same time their context and sensibility too is unabashedly Indian. The new and the third Bhagat book, “The 3 mistakes of my life”, has all these qualities. The setting is the city of Ahmedabad that though being urban is yet not as metropolitan as many of its metro counterparts. It retains its small town flavour in pols (colonies), traditional Indian households and small vegetarian eateries. It has the protagonist Govind with his passion and acumen for accounts and business, it has Ishan for whom cricket is the element around which his life revolves and it has Omi, a priest’s son and loyal friend who is ready for anything that his friends are game for. The book is based on real life events. It begins in a dramatic enough

Phoolan Devi  ( PhÅ«lan DevÄ« , Hindi:  फूलन देवी ) (10 August 1963 – 25 July 2001), popularly known as "The Bandit Queen", was an Indian dacoit and later apolitician. She was notorious across India during her time as a bandit. As a dacoit In 1979, a gang of dacoits abducted Phoolan. The gang leader, Baboo Gujjar, who was an upper-caste Gujjar, wanted to rape her. However, she was protected by Vikram, the deputy leader of the gang who belonged to Phoolan's caste, Mallah. One night when Baboo attempted to rape Phoolan, Vikram killed him and assumed the gang leadership. Phoolan became Vikram's second wife. The gang ransacked the village where Phoolan's husband lived. Phoolan stabbed her estranged husband, and dragged him in front of the villagers. The gang left him lying almost dead by the road, with a note as a warning for older men who marry young girls. Phoolan Devi learned how to use a rifle from Vikram, and participated in the gang's activities, which consi

Raj Thackeray Gone Mad ?

Mumbai , July 14 (IANS) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena chief Raj Thackeray Thursday blamed the north Indians and migrant population, including illegal Bangaladeshis, in Mumbai for Wednesday's triple blasts which left 17 dead and 131 injured. 'Mumbai, Thane and other parts of the state are teeming with migrants from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and illegal Bangladeshis. Unless the government checks the influx of migrants, such acts of terror will not stop,' he said at a press conference here. Thackeray said the migrants are indulging in all types of criminal activities, ranging from rapes to murders, and many such cases have been exposed in the past few days. Elaborating on his theory, he said there is absolutely no monitoring of how many migrants come to Mumbai daily, who they are, where they come from, where they live in Mumbai, what is their business and where all they go. 'We have blamed police and intelligence enough in all these years, now it is time to check on

'Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara' movie review

Zindagi Milegi Na Dobara Director:  Zoya Akhtar  Starring:  Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol Rating:  * * * * Jokes about teachers. Fights over girlfriends. Silly word games. Bare chests. Rippling muscles. Streaked hair. Sigh. Glossy looking and beautifully written. I must confess by the time I finished watching  Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara  I was convinced that no one can make a bromance as beautifully as a woman. The film is gentle, taking time out to look at horses running in the meadows, feel the wind the air, swim with the fish underwater. All that male beauty may be a little manipulative and the plot is a little contrived--three adventure sports to test your courage--but the story keeps you engaged. A meditative take on growing up, becoming a man, taking responsibility for one's actions, it has the courage to go for long periods with no dialogue. A scene where  Hrithik Roshan  does a Finding Nemo and another where the boys discover the joys of sky diving is all a
